24 February 2016—ZOLL Co-organizes the FIFA Football Emergency Medicine Course

Bangkok, Thailand – ZOLL co-organized the very first FIFA Football Emergency Medicine Course in Thailand, together with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Football Association of Thailand, and Bangkok Hospital. The course benefited participants who are involved in the provision of mass gathering medical services at football and other sports events. The two-day course included practical workshops using the AED Plus, which will protect players and spectators alike at sports events from sudden cardiac arrest. ZOLL’s AED Plus® is used in all FIFA and AFC matches, whereby a match cannot start without the presence of an AED.

 

 

4 September 2015—AED Plus Installed State-wide in Penang’s HeartSafe Programme

Penang, Malaysia - ZOLL’s AED Plus® was chosen to be deployed and installed in Malaysia’s very first heart-safe state, Penang. The Penang HEARTSafe programme is an initiative by the state to help the residents of Penang respond better to sudden cardiac arrest, providing a safety net for the nation’s leading cause of death. The programme includes raising awareness on sudden cardiac arrest, installing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) state-wide and training communities on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using AEDs.

6 August 2015—Singapore Civil Defence Force Installs AED Plus in Singapore’s Public Housing Estates

Singapore - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officially launched the Save-A-Life initiative, in aims of increasing the survival rate of cardiac arrest victims by building a network of trained community responders. One of the components to the initiative includes installing more automated external defibrillators (AED) in housing estates. ZOLL’s AED Plus® are now available next to the elevators of Singapore’s public housing apartments for easy access in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

10th December 2013—Asian Football Confederation to Protect Players Against Sudden Cardiac Arrest with the ZOLL AED Plus

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has purchased ZOLL AED Plus to distribute to its 47 member associations across Asia to protect their football players in the event of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The AED Plus® will be present during all football matches, whereby a match cannot start without the presence of an AED at the bench of the 4th official. The AED Plus was chosen because of its Real CPR Help® feature and real-time audio and visual feedback that guides the rescuer to the correct depth and rate of chest compressions, in addition to being simple to operate and user-friendly.
